1 thing – DEVICE MANAGEMENT. I have an iPhone 2g that I use on TMo. Some of the apps are now updating to be compatible with iOS 4+ only. If I click the button in iTunes to download all free updates, I will lose the ability to sync that app with my phone forever. There should be an option to set my phone and iOS version in iTunes, so that it will NOT show updates that are not compatible.convert vob to wmv

1) All devices: "Disallow in-app purchases" device setting, so it would be safe to let someone else use the device for a little bit without worrying they will drain your bank account when playing a game. 2) iPod Touch: Internal GPS so it is more useful in the car. 3) iPod Touch: Higher resolution camera for reasonable quality pictures, and macro lens for reading UPC codes when shopping. 4) iPhone/iPod Touch: Ability to run iPad applications with on-the-fly resolution downgrade from 1024×768 to 960×640. mp4 to mp3 1) Editorials/opinions2) Tips/How-tos3) Practical uses: Like how Rene/Georgia/etc. use their devices everyday. What apps, in what way, settings, things they really like, things they find missing. You know, a practical day-to-day snapshot of the use of iDevices

There is nothing in the GPL to say this specific type of modification is disallowed, but there is also nothing there that says it qualifies as a linking or other exception. Since it is a modification, and modifications with redistribution by default comes with strings attached, in the absence of an explicit exception, the logical play is to assume the worst.2) The end result is not the same, at least not for the GPL die-hards.. Allowing end users free access to the program is entirely tangential to the goals of the GPL. The point of the GPL is to people to share their knowledge as a condition of incorporating your own knowledge. The idea behind the GPL is not to increase userbase; it is the somewhat idealistic notion that sharing everything advances us all faster, and they wrote the license specifically to require that sharing above all else. That it can sometimes increase the software's popularity is gravy those times when it occurs.3) Good points regarding usage rights also playing a a role. If one were to accept the argument that encryption of the binary is allowable under the GPL, the usage restrictions would still be a problem.4) Agreed on your comments on Apple's intention; I do not think they were up to anything villainous here. But the simple fact is that they took some software and redistributed against the (usage|modification) terms of (at least one of) its creators. You can argue that Applidium shares blame here, and I certainly would not disagree, but, ultimately Apple also distributed, so Apple must shoulder some responsibility. A company that uses and contributes to open source, and which vigorously protects its own IP against what it perceives as violations, has to do a better job of policing their own virtual store stocking mechanisms.

Makes the lockscreen actually useful and keeps track of notifications for me.2) iRealSMS. The ability to send and receive texts within an app is essential. 3) SBSettings is also very useful. You don't realize how much you use it until you're on someone elses iPhone and start swiping the top to toggle wifi or something.4) Multifl0w makes app switching faster and easier to find the app you're looking for.5) FolderEnhancer: Same reason as above. 12 app limit is ridiculous.

1) Queue system with background downloading without having to minimize app2) Ability to allow upgrades to be completed without having to input the password3) Merge the App, iBooks, and iTunes store into one application4) Better notifications to show the buyer which apps he/she actually owns avi to wmv 1) SBSettings – Why is something like this not standard on iPhones?2) MyProfiles – The only way I can use my phone as a bedside alarm clock and automatically turn off email, calendar and SMS notifications. Also automatically toggles WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS off when not needed (customizable).3) Lockinfo – Coming from a Blackberry, I miss the notification light. At least I can check to see if there is anything new with one push of the home button.4) Infinidock – I have 5 icons showing instead of 4, and can scroll to 4 more.5) BiteSMS – I don't have it yet, but after reading this article, I will.
