What situation could arise where you thought that it was right to kill another human being? Do you think it's always morally wrong? What's your opinion on lethal injection? Can someone really be changed to alter their disturbed mind to something more normal and socially acceptable?

What are you thoughts?

Personally, I see destruction as a necessary component of evolution, but it doesn't make it any less tragic when someone dies.

I think if someone attacks you and threatens your life it is acceptable to kill them. Also, if someone kills a member of your family for no reason and you return the favor to them, I think it's ok.

Yeah I would find it acceptable to kill someone in self-defense, but I don't know about the second sentence. I don't think I'd have the courage to kill in revenge, and the circumstances would have to be considered. What if it was an accident, would you kill then in revenge for your family member?

I wouldn't have the courage to kill in revenge, but in defense yes, I agree with that. Unless like..they did something bad to your family..Like rape or something...Actually even still I don't think I could, but I think it would be okay for that person to die..If that made any sense..

like everybody else, killing is only acceptable when it comes to self-defense, if someone is going to kill you, they aren't going to stop until they kill you, so its either you die or he dies. but if someone were to kill someone in my family, i'd kill them lol

Personally, I believe taking the life of another human being is justified under the following circumstance:

self-defense - do unto others before he does it unto you
revenge - for family and friends; again, do unto others what has been done unto you
dregs of society - those who disturb a community's peaceful existence or ruin other people's lives, especially the young (criminals, burglars, drug dealers, rapists, etc), they deserve to die

I do not see the death penalty as right nor do I see killing another human being as right. I have some very strong beliefs here but don't want to sound preachy. Suffice it to say that it is my belief that we're all created in the image of God and so we shouldn't kill each other.

For an individual, it is justified to kill in self defense when there is no other way to incapacitate the attacker and prevent him what he was doing.

When a girls wants herself not to loose her verginity. Sometimes people rape girls at gun point or knife point. Girls can then kill them if possible.

Mercy Killing. It just mean in the title itself. You can't see a guy suffering for a long time or who is like a tree which has life but looks live non living thing, there it is accepted.

I wouldn't kill for an accidental death of a family member. I think a good basis for decision should sit on whether it would be considered murder. If you hunt someone down for no reason, it's murder. If you shoot someone when they attack you, it's self-defense not murder. If someone kills your wife and children with out reason and you kill them in response, You have only done unto them what they did to you.
