I think its necessary to get professional help in such a situation. As you say that talking personally doesn't seem to be helping.
Its important to convery to them that their behaviour is detrimental to them and their relations with people. They need to learn to be more tolerant to others as should we to them as an overnight change is not possible |

Something that you need a pshycologist with this kind of people. It's better that he should talk to people with expert with this kind of problem but if it's not serious matter you can still talk to him but don't go with his anger.

the person with that kind of behavior needs to undergo treatment, psychologically most of them are not aware of it,and some are aware but it varies from their past experiences. First I treated them by putting empathy to them or putting my shoe on their shoe and then understanding their situation by giving them sympathy.
