![]() The Gas prices today are out of control. Lets start a discussion about what we can do to help solve this problem. My suggestion is that by keeping our Air Filters clean we can save almost 8% gas per mile.

![]() I for one can't stop using that much gas...
My car is modified (at my best) to suit speed needs, and eats about 5-7 l of motoryne / 100 kms in city area... The next car I'll buy will hopefully be at the least as economic as this one... ![]()

![]() I have always said, make sure your choice of house is suitable to the living area; so that not much driving is required.

![]() Gas prices are the wierest thing. I beive when Bush started his presidencey they were at $1.90 (recoleciton, not fact) anyway, its strange becuase one thing people forget about gas is that we are not completely dependent on the Saudis. we are produce the third most gallons a day(8.37 mgpd). The only peole who produce more are the Saudies by about 2.5 million barrels a day and the russians who are barely beating us. My point is that if we are the third largest, then surely we can not be that dependent on the Saudis for oil; therefore, the saudis and the war in iraq can not be the cause for the driving up the prices. It must be some other thing. That other thing is a mystery to us all.

![]() I heard that in a couple of years the minimum mpg rating is going to have to be around 30 for all cars? Is this true?

![]() I wouldn't doubt it.. I hope so, anyway.
Currently the Toyota Prius offers the best MPG rating with like 39-44 or something around that I think? |

![]() The only thing with hybrid cars is they are more expensive that regular. For example, a hybrid Civic is like 3-4 grand more than a regular. I remember my dad and I calculated it, and it'll take 4-5 years to make up the price in gas on the hyrbid. So, as of right now, I would say it's not worh buying one.

![]() Damn oil companies, I swear those guys are some of the greediest most evil people on the face of the planet. The government needs to be very liberal with subsidies for alternative energy.
